Garry King is well liked by some but I see a big problem with some of the items I see on his site.  I'm not referring to Kenny Baker and other small bits but rather the large $$ music items.

Dealers in the UK might not be aware of current music item that they offer for sale.  In another thread several autographs from Autografica were deemed fake.  The items were Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston and Harrison Ford.

He might not know there is a problem.

Also, commentors need to take personal responsibility of their comments.  Everyone is guilty of failing that however this website is not a FT paid position that enables an individual to consistently monitor verbiage.  How Cyrkin does what he does do is quite amazing.  However, commentors also know full well when they cross the lines and usually its just not in one thread.

Agreed.

The threads were so all over the place that there was no way to delete the what I needed to without making what was left fairly useless.

It deletes the nested replies unless someone is closing their account.

fyi; in going back thru threads - I've deleted some comment(s) over time and if there was a reply it didn't delete what was underneath it.

But in those cases, notice that it doesn't bring the reply one level to the left. It displays as a reply to the unrelated one that's now above it, and usually makes no sense.

"What I needed" refers to what I was asked to delete from the exchanges regarding the Eastwood, etc.

Steve and i met probably 10 years ago at a show in the USA, and have styed in communication ever since. I have always supported the magazine and subscribed to it for many years both before and after he took over.

We are not good buddies, but talking on the phone is much better than these forums or emails. We have discussed various aspects of the MJ signature and others, today it was Macca. We also discussed ebay problems, the Olympics, jokes and more.

I have also spoken with Roger in the same context as its important to get to the bottom of this one, and agian, its far easier on the phone than by email.

Garry and I communicate often. Garry King's expert testimony has been instrumental in convicting several people of selling forgeries in the UK. If anyone here had talked to reputable dealers in the UK and asked about Garry's reputation, you'd find that he's one of the country's most respected dealers.

Honest?  Have you read this whole blog?  He was the distributer of the forgeries from Adrian.  I have the emails to prove it and Adrian said he got them himself.  So if I sell 100 items and only 35 people know anything about autographs and the other 65% don't ever know, then I am an honest dealer?  No, by playing the odds I would come out way ahead, 65% of the fake autographs were still sold.  The 35% fake didn't cost anything more then a photo to create.  Nice profit?

That's true, like Mick had said i just don't wanna bash him over this at the current time we know he was the distributer from Adrian but he might not have known like you had said earlier about being offered 100 of them for 7500, ive read micheal did tend to sign alot for dealers and they would get high numbers of graphs from him, maybe dom got a few himself that looked similar and then adrian scammed him saying he was racking for days on mj

Fk good point Harry! And I agreed with Mike Shepherd's conclusion too!!
