According to this from them, they went to using QR codes a few years ago:

This seems curious for several reasons......
That sticker looks like a possible mashup of their older logo and the new QR code ones. The authentic newer QR code ones look to have the verification number as well above the code:
The first image neatly cuts off the ability to see the sticker on the photo. The second makes the supposed code look like a mess.
Also, the issue date on the letter is not the usual format they seem to use on their dating with the name of the month spelled out (see image below).
The Ford LOA also uses the European numerical dating format of the day coming before the month. Is this seller out of the US, by any chance?
Yes the seller is out of the us they live in the uk, what do you think?
Here’s a link to the Harrison ford auction

I suspected that was the case.
Every one of their Beckett LOA items seems to have this same presentation of the European numerical dating for the issuance of the letter. Beckett is an US company. Do they do this specially for their transatlantic clients and just abandon their usual issuance date format?
The bottom of the Beckett LOAs where the authenticator is signing off on it is also not visible in the seller's listings. They've got things positioned in the same way in every one of these Beckett pieces.
The QR codes are so blobby on the images of these listings. It would be interesting to ask the seller to provide an image of the code on the sticker that is actually able to be scanned by your phone and see what their response would be.
Can he send you a high def image of the QR code to scan?
Since I ask he has not respond I assuming he does not want to send a photo
I have contacted Beckett to see if they have ever used that sticker I am waiting for a respond however I believed I have undeniable proof that this is a fake seller
first he had two Tobey maquire autographs both the letters use the same code
also the Harrison ford claims to be brought to Beckett on
22/3/2024 but the website says Beckett witnessed the signature on
2/13/23
This has been an interesting one to me since you posted it, Austin. I had actually looked up the verification as well on the Beckett site and saw what you pointed out regarding the dates. In fairness, it could have been that the March date refers to when the Letter was potentially issued (the month after the signing). I don't know how Beckett handles that, to be honest.
Most concerning is that sticker which does not look like what they apparently are using these days. I'm also still hung up a bit on that numeral dating system on the seller's Letter. That is not how the Beckett Letters seem to format that and certainly not with the European ordering which would seem to be a UK default way of doing it. Does Beckett have an overseas office?
p.s. It would be extraordinary that someone would be ballsy enough to make a sale and send something like that with a sticker that has a QR code that can't be read.
Good catch! I just looked this up as well with both of these Tobey Maguire LOAs having the exact same verification numbers:

I would definitely think Beckett would want to know this.
This makes no sense, I reported the listing to eBay I even included our messages and eBay said they found nothing wrong. I also let Beckett know but they have not responded yet.
It might take Beckett to be the ones to make a complaint that eBay would listen to. It's their papers and stickers after all that looked to have been forged. You've certainly done what you can to make them aware of it.
I guess in the bigger picture, it's just one example of countless nefarious schemes that are playing out on eBay every day. That may be eBay's default position on this kind of thing.
