Is anyone familiar with Rittenhouse Archives autograph cards?  I am currently collecting their Game of Thrones product and I was wondering if any other members have ever collected any of their autograph cards as well.  Thanks in advance.

I recently added four more Rittenhouse Archives Game of Thrones autograph cards to my collection.  Does anyone else collect Rittenhouse Archives autograph cards?

Shhhh its our secret. Ive collected signed James bond cards for a while, game of thrones, star trek, panini world cup etc. Also fabric cards, wish they still smelled like Tpol! Hey just kiddin! A good way to collect some tough and hopefully authentic sigs and some were very reasonable. Was watching the Tobey Mcguire card but has passed a 100. Have read hes tough.

Thanks Ian.  I actually just saw your reply.  It must have slipped by me back in August.

go over to the blowout cards forum, there are a lot of non sport collectors over there.

Thanks Cory.  I will definitely check it out.

I personally like Rittenhouse cards because they generally have very bold clear signatures and are easy to store.  They are getting harder to come by they used to be a relatively cheap way to get some obscure autographs and a few big names.

Not just Rittenhouse Archives, but many other manufacturers insert signed cards in wax packs. Many times they end up being reasonably priced, and a way to get difficult sigs for projects. Star Trek, Star Wars, Bond, many movie productions now end up with a card set, and many include signature cards from at least a few of the "stars" of the movie.

The nice thing about Rittenhouse Archives is, to the best of my knowledge, that the autographs are always on card. Many companies use a sticker autograph (person signs a sheet of stickers) rather than on card. Upper Deck seems to go the sticker route for entertainment cards. Leaf is a mixed bag. Their two movie releases were Mortal Instruments and Vampire Academy, which were on card. However, their Pop Century line uses stickers... It's personal preference but I prefer on card.

Also, if you try your luck with a hobby box or two, you won't ever find a redemption card with Rittenhouse Archives. Many redemption cards expire. Some businesses close so won't be able honor redemptions. This will never be the case with Rittenhouse (at least as long as they don't have redemptions).
