Wanted everyone to be aware of this common Waters forgery style, which is being slipped up by Grad and co. Going to be plenty to choose from after this tour. Another reason not to trust solely the sticker

The same forger who signed these Waters also signed a few fully signed albums as well that were on eBay months ago. I can't find pictures at the moment but if I do I will post
Another poor Waters attempt with JSA

Geez, I have the most pedestrian knowledge of Waters and even I can tell that's way off base.

Sorry I cannot upload this directly due to limitations on my phone. For those who haven't seen this posted back in December on Steve Grad's public facebook page. While I would like to say there is no funny business between certain sellers and Beckett/PSA/JSA... Pictures like these make conspiracy theorists sweat.

It is a business decision on both of their parts to be aligned. While I won't sit here and say all of Press Pass items are forgery, that isn't the case. To me, as I said, a TPA should remain blind to who they are authenticating for not to be swayed by close relationships or big money business partners. I don't know what the pass/fail ratio is for someone like Press Pass or autographs-for-sale or any other power seller. When you see a TPA as high profile as Steve Grad standing shoulder to shoulder with Press Pass or anyone else and you are new to the hobby...You might just trust any Beckett sticker you see and not ask these questions.

TPA's are a business. They are there to make money. The guys in these photos mean more to them then all the other collectors. They don't owe the autograph hobby anything. They are not some type of government overwatch group.

All these guys know that nothing happens to them for passing forgeries except they get bad reviews. Then they just blame it on competitors and the suckers believe that junk.

PSA for example has been horrible for years. JSA today is just as bad as GA. They absolutely suck at authenticating anything anymore. Problem is so many collectors relied on them blindly for so many years they stand to lose a ton of autograph value if the tens of thousands of mistakes they have made over the years were ever acknowledged so these collectors pacify themselves that it's got a third party opinions and argue in behalf of these joke companies to no end. None of these TPA's have the collectors or hobby's best interest at heart.

amen

do your own homework

Agree. Do your own homework and seek advice from real collectors who have an actual passion for collecting autographs. They are more knowledgeable anyway.

but what do u when u know have real stuff and cant sell it becuase the 3 stooges say its fake for what ever reason they what. it taints all

and i woundnt be surpised if beckett starts charging a premium if u want a personal letter from steve as the tv show has gone to his head and in the world hes seen as the autograph expert now of all experts .cough cough

Can be tough I'm sure. I know how I do it. If I know it's 100% authentic I don't let any of them look at it. I don't sell autographs so haven't faced selling something a TPA said no to

If I know it's 100% authentic I don't let any of them look at it.

It's not like they stamp "FAKE" on the front of it in indelible ink... Any piece that won't sell due to authenticity concerns has more people doubting it than just a TPA.

If you pay super close attention to Beckett's Facebook you will notice that pictures are not being taken exclusively with Kyle, you will notice every store front or business that they go to they take a picture with ownership Whether it be Scott from Mill Creek or Houston Sports connection so before you "Make a conspiracy" dig a little deeper man.. All Beckett clients are just as important a PPC or "Joe Schmo" ebay autograph seller..
