Hey there ,

just wondering what your thoughts are on this Rolling Stones guitar.  The signatures are pick guard and are raised signature.  I can’t seem to find another one anywhere.  Not sure it’s value and whether signatures are legit.   May be a promo item.  Anybody out there that would have info would be appreciated.   Thanks

Definitely not authentic IMO

Apart from the signatures all being "off" (Bill Wyman's in particular) the biggest clue here is the pen that has been used. Brian Jones died in 1969. Although felt tip pens were around then, they faded very quickly and the vast majority were not permanent. This looks to have been done by either a coloured sharpie or a sharpie that has faded.

With all the complications Brian was going through in 1969, the last time he would have been in the same place as all the band together was 1968 when they filmed the "Rock and Roll Circus" - during this time Charlie's signature was considerably different to the one that appears on this guitar.

As everybody has indicated, this is not genuine...

That’s the thorough explanation reply I needed. Thanks !

if it was really signed 50 years ago on that pickguard it would hasve oxided

the stones sigs are placed way to neat ,hell no

u need to do them one at a time over years to complete it not to mention brian jones is dead

also u should be able to date the pick guard and guitar  both but i belive the guitar wasnt made then so u have to work on the pickguard and its bieng a 3 ply
