I'm on the fence on this one. I haven't seen but a few Sharon Tate's. There are elements that look good but a couple of variances that I notice. I cannot say with any certainty. Hopefully, someone who has more experience will chime in. I'd like to know as well.

Hi Joe,
Yes me too, apparently her 'S' varied a lot. But the 'r' is always higher after the 'a' in Sharon and always rolls over the same way. Also I've found that the hat point on the 'h' is always pointed. Anybody else ?

I have forwarded this image to someone I know who is top notch to look at it. Is this yours or something you are thinking about buying? I will let you know how the response it on this.

I just received a response from my friend and he said he didn't knew her signature well enough to render an opinion. Seems to be that even well studied vintage authenticators have some trouble with her.

I have looked at a number of her signature examples and this has a possibility of being genuine although on the other hand there are some discrepancies.

Here's what I would do if I was in your shoes. If this is being offered to you by someone I would have to get it for a bargain, and I mean bargain price if they are not willing to give me solid documentation as proof and/or money back guarantee. Make sure you trust the person!

Also, if I had it this is one I would get a PSA or JSA letter of authenticity on it. Would be worth the cost.

Wish I was more help for you. It could be an extremely valuable piece.

Hi joe,
Thanks for your reply. I had already purchased the item .PSA quick opinion could not render an opinion ! I have contacted a few well known auction sites who have turned it down for the same reasons but again that doesn't mean to say it's not genuine.A UACC dealer is taking a close look at it and I'll consider your PSA letter idea,Thankyou.

Good luck. It's a nice photo and if the signature proves out you've got a rarity.

Markus,

Tom Kramer: www.goldenageautographs.com Tom is more vintage Hollywood, but he may well know Tate and he's super-sharp.
