I’m pretty good with authenticating early Hollywood stuff, particularly silent film (Sennett & Hal Roach stars). This is not an authentic signature.

Yeah, not even close...unfortunately.  Having most of the writing in extremely dark portions of the photo is a good cover for forgery.
