I don't disagree this happens sometimes. I have many multi-signed items obtained by myself with inconsistent pen types. :-)

But, bear in mind, the story behind these questioned photos are that they were from a private signing conducted by a professional show promoter. It seems unlikely to me that a promoter in a sit-down signing would have the signers use different pen types.

Of course, it is within the realm of possibility and doesn't "prove" anything by itself. But, it is another factor to consider when weighing the credibility of these items.

Looking through ebay.... unfortunately it looks like a LOT of the $60 - $100 suspect items are now being certed and offered in the $200 - $300 range.
