I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

i just saw the news too, wishing the best for her! met here at celebration this year, she was so nice.....fingers crossed

Pretty safe to say no matter the severity, she will miss Wizard Con in New Orleans january 6-8. I had VIP tickets to meet her. Prayers for her and family.

Very sorry to hear certainly will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope that she is well.  May the Force be with her.

I know that in times of uncertainty, and when someone is brought up repeatedly in the news for being unwell....lots of autograph collectors feel as if they should rush to pick up an item, especially if they do not have that celebrity in their collections. With the sad news of Carrie Fisher's medical emergency yesterday, and the fact that no new information (beyond the fact that she is in the ICU being cared for at UCLA,) has been forthcoming yet.

Please be very cautious before making any blind purchases, about half of the number of pieces going up for sale are secretarial autographs or outright forgeries. Don't rush into anything blindly, ask questions if you feel that you must buy something immediately.

While you celebrate the holiday with loved ones, the most important thing ....please keep Carrie and her family in your thought and prayers.

Amen, Pete. I am concerned. From reports I read, they had to take very aggressive measures to revive her. I hope she makes a FULL recovery.

Crazy numbers for the real ones.

Even if the worst is to happen, now is not the time to buy. Carrie has signed lots and lots of autographs, and given a few months, the supply will far outweigh the demand. We saw the same exact thing with Kenny Baker, photos selling for $200+ immediately after his passing, they are now starting to normalize around $50-60 which is right around what he was charging prior to his passing.

Remove the "PSA" from the search you link to, and it gets ugly fast. Carrie's secretary has been very busy.

Not breathing for 15 minutes on board the plane, and the paramedics not being able to find a pulse for another 15 minutes on the ground, the situation is far from bright and happy. My experiences with Carrie showed me that she is warm, charming, stubborn and very opinionated....let's just hope that some of those qualities shine through now.

Oh my. Even worse than I assumed. She needs thoughts and prayers right now.

Honestly with some of the initial reports and the numbers that Pete mentions here, I was surprised that she survived the night. Hard to know what is actually medically accurate when all the initial reports are based on twitter posts and rumors. Hopefully she makes a full recovery. The EMT, nurse and first responders deserve a medal. CPR for 30+ minutes is no easy task.

I mentioned on rebelscum last night that the limited info pieced together from all the different sources almost sounded like a possible pulmonary embolism. A long plane ride and a clot breaks loose in the legs goes through the heart and blocks the blood flow to the lungs. Breathing is difficult and can result in most of the symptoms mentioned including cardiac arrest. If that is the case, hopefully the breathing machine will help, while they do what they can to minimize damage.
