Haven’t see too much here in the Steve McQueen specific section lately,  but I thought I’d give it a go after getting no hits over in ‘Is It Real’ haha

So, just wondering what you think of this Steve McQueen signed album page from 1960? I see some similarities in the ‘teve’ (especially the higher ‘e’ at the end) and ‘ueen’, but the ‘M’ is missing the usual long downstroke at the beginning. Thoughts?

That Judy Garland is certainly authentic. C. 1959-65.

It is slightly atypical and now I think no good - 2 things bother me, the "y" and the "d" and its disconnected paraph, Also, seems a bit vertically compressed. It is a great atrempt if so.

If tilt you screen back to allow for the underexposure the Steve and Judy are quite dirty or stained rather prominently to my eyes.

Why did you remove the Garland? Please restore it or the thread doesn't make any sense.

Now that I see the Sammy Davis Junior I don’t think the McQueen is likely good. They have some similar characteristics, especially with the S. And I just checked out the Frank Sinatra which has similarities to the McQueen as well. I would pass on all the stuff.

Thank you gentlemen for all your input, it’s greatly appreciated!
My suspicion was correct in that there may be a few good ones in here, but a forger has peppered the rest. I know for sure the Heston looks real to me at least, not sure on any others. Some to me look like they’ve been written by the same hand.

For interests sake I’ll post all the images that were made available for you to ponder over.

Here is my Dana Wynter. I bought this still (original) from Kevin McCarthy's driver. Click for larger images:

And a more vintage example from The John Verzi: IP Collection:

Update:

So that autograph book went for $2375 US!!! Either we were all wrong, or some poor soul just got fleeced! I’d really love to know for sure…I mean could they have been variants of really rushed in person signatures, or was this some very elaborate hoax??

They are mostly signed at the same angle - that's my observation of the bulk photos just provided. I still can't abide the "y" in "Judy". Some suggest one hand. It is odd the angle of the Judy is correct.

When you allow for the deliberately undercontrasted photo's these all have staining, tone, reverse shadows from other pages and other problems. Is seems odd - but then to have a book of mostly rushed signatures mostly at the same angle would be very unusual.
