Still Seeking Opinions From Madonna Affectionados (Part One)

Hi- Got a few good opinions from members (Hi Joe!) on this Madonna pic but would like to hear more from you Madonna fans out there. Pic #1 is the signature in question, signed in black felt tip pen or marker. It has an "M" formation similar to early examples I have researched. Pic #2 is a second example that was previously deemed authentic here on this site. It has an "M" formation that I more commonly see and that dates much later. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. P.S.- BTW, does anyone else hate blue sharpie signatures as much as I do? I don't know why, but they just look cheap to me and rub me the wrong way unless a similar shade is featured in the image. Is my anal-retentiveness showing (lol)?

Hello,

Is it an unusual "M" or a missing "a" in the second example? Other examples show the fourth loop does not serve as the "a", so where is it?

Eric

PS - What did you think of my Bowie?

Too funny...! That's EXACTLY how I responded to James' comment on this photo in a parallel discussion pertaining to Pic #2 (blue sig). I've seen her signature resemble this repeatedly so I'm reasonably sure it's authentic, but I never AM able to identify her three-pronged (or "paddled" or petaled") first letter (or symbol?) as an "M". And where's the "a" for God's sake? More importantly, what's your take on photo #1 (black sig)? As for your response to my Bowie post, I agree- yours looks like early examples that seemed far more lighthearted and playful in nature- like he was actually enjoying signing for someone. Contemporary examples are "all business".
