Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

I've broken this thing wide open. Here is proof of who has been signing all of these.

Great balls of fire!

Steve, what do you think about this one? You've stated that "Sincerely" and the signature are authentic, and that "To Dave" is secretarial. Do you still believe that to be the case?

I believe "To Dave" was not signed by the same person that signed Sincerely JLL., which I think was probably JLL. I never studied JLL's autograph, and still haven't except for trying to identify potential secretarials.

Who here has studied JLL's autograph to identify forgeries, not just secretarials? And for how long? The only one I know here who has done that is Roger...for 20 years or more.

That's a TTM signature. "Sincerely" matches up very nicely with Mark Roberts' TTM signed LP and also the in person (disputed) photo from the eBay seller, both of which have been called secretarial.

If I understand correctly, this one is authentic:

and this one is secretarial:

Is that correct?

I don't think the top one is authentic. If I thought so before I don't know.

Ballroom, I'm really not here to argue with you on all this. You want to be right, period. I just want to protect collectors.

Not true. I want this discussion to reach an accurate conclusion. That's all.

The one above Roger said was ok.  That is one of the recents I got.

The second one below "To Mark" - I have no clue.

Mark

If Roger said it's good, it's probably good then. My apologies.

No worries

Mark
