Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.
Please post your thoughts here and examples.
thanks
Mark

I don't have it with me right now but I think she printed her response as well as her name at the end.
The picture distorted on the above post. Sorry. The link is http://www.ebay.com/itm/JERRY-LEE-LEWIS-Autograph-Signed-Guitar-wit...
Fixed pic. Why do you think that's bad, Chad?
I've looked at dozens of his signatures over the past month and have attempted to learn some of the nuances of his signature.
-This is the first example I have seen with this type of formation of the "L" in Lee.
-The dot for the "I" is not usually in this position.
-The lack of letter development shown in this image is not consistent with what I have seen with his signature. This one looks too flat. If the argument is "this was a rushed signature," that would not hold up either as most rushed signatures don't have the clear spacing between each part of his name.
I have viewed a huge variety in his signature depending on signing circumstances but this one does not fit any of them.
As always, I am not an expert and am trying to learn as I go. Take my opinion as just that.
Steven - how much was the charge for the photo? $50 or 100?
$50
Steven -
Look at your Sincerely and the Sincerely on the photo that I post on the 1st page of the thread that I got back - totally different. I am curious what Roger thinks.
When did you mail it?
thanks
Markl
Going by sheer insticnt, I would say Steven's is closer to what a JLL sig looks like. Not only is the 'S' totally different, there is no squiggly line, and the signature slants a bit more to the right and the 3 names are less separated especially Jerry & Lee. Just my opinion. Would be interested to know the price and when the item was received by JLL. Perhaps after we started this little thread?
sent it around a day before people started getting suspisous that it could be a sec takes awhile for mail here to get out and back so id have to assume this was signed around april 18 since it was date stamped april 18 on the envelope only cost me $50
