Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

The image below is from http://www.xpautographs.com/jerry-lee-lewis-autograph-13663.html and they say it was obtained in person. I wrote them a message for more details but have not heard back. I also started a discussion about that company but didn't get any responses. I don't know anything about them other than they state they are France's number 1 autograph dealer. It looks good to me.

Jerry Lee LEWIS Autograph

Very solid signature and inscription.

And a very solid suit.

I received a reply from Xavier Pelletier about the image above. His response, in full, is reproduced below. This appears to be the in-person example with a squiggle some have been asking for.

"Hello,

Sorry for the delay of my answer, I was very busy these last days...
I obtained this Jerry Lee Lewis autograph when he came to Nice, my hometown, for a concert in july 2005. For me, Jerry Lee Lewis is not very friendly with autograph hunters. I have been refused many times some years ago in Paris, but this time in Nice he was ok and signed me 2 pictures.

I hope it will help !

Best regards,
Xavier"
Please note this item was sold quite a while ago and Xavier has no JLL signatures for sell at this time.

Thank you for contacting him, Chad.

Has anyone gotten back an autograph for 100.00 yet?

Not yet on my end - I have been busy and not gotten around to sending one.

Mark

Xavier responded to me again after I thanked him for his time and response. He replied "You're welcome... Maybe you have to know that Jerry Lee Lewis was seated when he signed. I saw some other autographs he signed while he was standing after the show and they are not so nice... You cannot see every letters and it's very shaky."

Comments from those thinking these are not signed by Jerry Lee would be appreciated. Several people wanted an in person example that looked more like the questioned ttms. This one and the one from the gentleman on ebay seem to show JLL did in fact sign, in person, with the squiggle on occasion.

So he is saying he actually saw him sign this particluar autograph or was it sent backstage?  That would also assume he was sitting.  If he saw this actual item being signed then there is a good chance all his 'relaxed' autographs with the squiggle could be authentic,

Yes. He is saying he saw him sign it.

This gets more interesting…

Mark

Xavier confirmed to me that this was signed in front of his eyes, not taken backstage or anything.
