This is not early - 1949 is early - but this is a nice Burton from that small image.
The idea The Burton and Taylor met on the set of Cleopatra is a myth as I recall - I believe they met in the very early 1950's, '52 or '53, during Burton's first outing to Hollywood. Yes, very nice set as married couple, and she signed "Burton" as well. 1966 is the the year of Virginia Woolf - that is a key for them. I have seen many Burton's in red ink. Thanks for posting.
Hi Dan,
You are welcome. Sorry, I don't know the other signatures.
What do you intend to do with those 2 sigs of Burton/Taylor? I have a superb signed color candid 8x10 of Burton, but have been a Woolf fan for ages.
Hi Dan, appeal...great names together, usually wanted on a photo etc. I appreciate this context of Faustsus (and the odd interview on YouTube about it with a very angry Elizabeth) and I like the proximity to Woolf. Market value I believe would be a few hundred, under but close perhaps to 5 or so, I imagine. I am not up on her current value as much. If this were a hotel guestbook in Gstaad it might be worth a bit more? I'd pay a bit more anyway. JoeW would be the one to ask about value. Checking results at RR and other closed auction would also yield some data. Also, is there a premium for "Taylor Burton".
