To anyone inclined to post their opinion regarding this book. The autographed version retails for $5K plus another $90. I have a couple of concerns before ordering it. For those of you familiar with the book, is it hand-signed opposed to auto-pen and is it safe to order online through Taschen's website? I raise the second question because they do not have the book listed on one of their websites but seem to have another website devoted exclusively to this book. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Joe

Well Chicklet if you want to have a chance at collecting something that will appreciate, you better latch on to a dinosaur. I guess I'm spoiled that I grew up in the best time for music. When I was 18, everytime I turned on my fm radio in my 82 Mustang there was a brand new song from what are now legends. Music that was not being copied but was being created. My two kids 8 and 11 know everyone from Metallica to Michael Jackson to Gordon Lightfoot. When I die out there's 2 that will know. There is an Al Jolson signed contract on ebay for $49,000.
Well Barry, I got my Mick and Keith autographs a long time ago and they cost me nothing but a heck of a lot of free time. I'm betting Jolie's contract doesn't sell. I saw the Stones in NYC in '69, '72 and 1975 and they were a snooze even back then.

Sheesh. It's just pop music, not guidance from above.
It's only Rock and Roll, and I like it. Had no idea you were so old. Sheesh.
Well if I know who the Rolling Stones are I am old, but my musical tastes are mature not old. I can say that I am not a fifty+ pudgy insurance agent walking around in shorts, flip flops and my Ramones concert t shirt. Not that I'm saying anybody on this site is.

Hey...I don't sell insurance.

We're you a hippy in the 60s? Flower power.
Hey, I'm only 49!

   Dear Ms. McTushy,

Thank you for you frank and forthright opinion.  Although I respect your opinions I don't think there is a right or wrong answer from my perspective.  I am buying pieces of, in my opinion, are priceless and have no intention of ever selling them.  They are strictly for my personal enjoyment because of all the things in this world the music by The Rolling Stones make, their performances and history give me a sense of joy that go beyond dollars and cents.  I compliment you on your practical viewpoints in regards to an investor's point of view but, for me, one has nothing to do with the other.  Thanks again for your input.

   Sincerely,   Joe

That's why I collect Joe. Well said.
Agreed
I noticed on the Stones website they offer fans a $29.50 ticket sold in pairs. So scalpers can't get, you pick up at will-call. Then will be escorted to your seats that can be in many different locations throughout the venue. Pretty cool.
