The aging of white paper

Sounds like an exciting topic, eh?!

But in trying to determine authenticity, it can help to know just how old-looking is old-looking enough.

So my question is this: can the white paper that an autograph was signed on over 50 years ago remain basically white with very little, if any at all, yellowing?

Great question. I think "paper" will need to be well defined for this.
