The Good Dr Hunter S Thompson - authentic?

Hello all. Does anybody have an opinion on the authenticity of this signed Hunter S Thompson book?

It has the right flavors so I would lean towards good.

However I'm not saying 100% legit because I don't know how heavily he is forged. 

I like his full big and stylish forms myself.

It has some similar characteristics to others that i've seen. I have to agree with you about his nice, full autograph - especially when accompanied with a witty inscription. However, if this is authentic, i'd still prefer this than the abbreviated, initialized HST that gets banded about.

I agree, this example is far better than his abbreviated (lazy) forms in the later years. This one is still on the stylish side.

I think I would feel comfortable buying this for the right price, but hopefully other opinions will come

I couldn't brood on this any longer, and thanks to the confidence installed by the ALM collective, decided to buy it. 

Threw in an offer of $130 (just under 100 Queen's heads.) Offer accepted and probably just bagged myself the deal of the year.

It's a British slang word meaning mate. Usually used by the soft, southern shandy drinking folk in London.
