The Mickey Mantle Collectors Club!

Back in the 80’s , just when this whole baseball memorabilia thing was taking off, a friend at work gave me an address to write to concerning Mickey Mantle memorabilia since he knew I was a fan. I got back an entry form to join the Mickey Mantle Collector’s club for 10.00, guaranteeing signed items from Mantle himself, baseballs, photos, bats, etc., all for a fee. I sent my 10.00 to join the club and got back a welcome letter which appeared to be signed in ballpoint by Mantle! I forgot all about it until recently. Now I am looking for opinions on the letter, as well as the club itself. Anyone familiar with it? Believe it or not Mickey was offering signed baseballs for 25.00!

Can't tell if it's a pre-print, but formation wise that is definitely an authentic Mick signature.

There are 2 on eBay right now for $850 BIN (Way too high IMO). Definitely a cool piece tho.

Yup that's it. I have the card also. Now that I remember more, the entry form said, if u join, you get a welcome letter signed by Mickey himself. So I guess it is real. Glad I found it! Thanks for showing these!
