"Hachette Book Group, Ms. Panettiere’s publisher, has notified us that, due to a production issue, they are unable to provide the signed edition of this title.
As a result, we must cancel this item from your order. You will not be charged for this book."

I had heard these may be autopen but hadn’t had a chance to gather examples (it doesn’t look like there’s many out there). Anyway, that could be what’s going on.

I’d like to see more copies to see what exactly is going on. It certainly looks like these two are close (if not the same) and they overlay very closely (though the first example is not as sharp as I would like).

Here is another example from eBay at the bottom. All three do appear to be different copies, based on the placement of the signatures on the signed page (the underlying title page is visible through the signed page, and the positioning appears different)

All three examples so far were UK editions. I did find one US example that someone posted from BAM and I’ve added that at the bottom.
