I'm not an expert on Simon and haven't ever needed to research his signature so I personally can't say, but I did run into this old thread. Scroll down and you will see an in person example that seems to match up to the one you posted here

The letter formation and slant looks a lot like my signed book, just not as neat.  i'd say its good
