Thurman Munson signed card - What do you make of the Ebay seller Corteznik44?

So there was an Ebay auction that ended last night from Ebay seller corteznik44.   It was for a 1974 signed Thurman Munson signed card, not authenticated, but which appeared real.  It is shown below.   I was actually the winning bidder and I was surprised that I won it at such a low price, $346.  I became more suspicious and realized I had seen an exact PSA/DNA authenticated version of this card on Heritage Auctions (Nov 2014 auction), in which HA claims the card can be purchased from the owner.  I am including pictures of both the Ebay sellers (not in PSA/DNA case) and the Heritage Auction one (PSA/DNA authenticated) Munson cards.  I asked the E-bay seller, the story behind this, as he claims he won the unauthenticated card years ago on Bricol Auctions 15 years ago.   I asked pointed questions and the seller could provide no answers.   I backed out of paying, as there is something fishy going on.  Has anyone dealt with this seller, corteznik44? Is he selling copies?  Any thoughts or theories as to what is going on?

He had some autographs that interested me

With patience & upon further investigation (just paying attention to his listings) it became obvious to me that the guy is a crook.

Remain steadfast and DO NOT pay for your item.

Tell eBay the guy is a con man. You'd be doing everyone else a service if you do.

All the best

Thanks.  I did not pay him.  He cancelled the transaction (after it ended) after I kept questioning him for more information.

this card was discussed on this site in the past week.  We believe it is a copy of the PSA-slabbed original version.

Hi,

Can you please point me to this conversation?

Thanks.

the conversation won't help.  there were PM's going back and forth where it was discussed further and determined it is likely a copy of the original.

On top of it being an apparent copy of the Heritage slabbed card, Bricol auctions was a "suspect" outfit.

Red flags all the way around here. It won't end well if you pay for it.

glad to hear
