Hello,
I cant comment to terrible much on Kurt, although that doesnt look like what ive seen. But i can comment on J. Mascis. I have him on a half dozen or so items and his signature is typically nothing more than a J, sometimes a few more letters, but other than that, its normally a "barely their" autograph, lol. Ive never seen a full sig like that from him, although maybe further back he did, but it just looks wrong to me. The formation of his name and the style just doesnt match in my opinion. And they all look kinda like they were signed by the same person. I would avoid these items, but id wait for Mike Airing to respond. He seems to be extremely knowledgeable with Kurt. But like you said, the full names like this would be mega rare if they were real. Hope this helps. Here are a few by John to compare too.
I have seen this poster before. I don't feel 100% confident with it. And I agree with Trapper that J. Masics usually just sign a J. That is how he signed for me when I met him around 1994. I will try to find my signed record so I can show you.
Did you see the auction items that Gottahaveit have right now? There is a piece of paper with the full signatures of both Kurt and Krist.
I did not see the flyer you posted on their auction but they have another Nirvana signed handbill on their auction with similar full signatures. There is also a signed Kurt Cobain hospital discharge paper and a Nirvana cut autograph.

Let's wait for Mike and Bjarne to comment on it. :)

Here is the link to the original Handbill. It's not on their auction, it's on their regular site. The hospital discharge paper should be real. I'm not all sure about the cut. It looks very much like the signed hand bill.
Coincidentally all 4 Nirvana signed items on this auction site were signed with their full names which makes it very rare if they are authentic. I even have doubts about the Kurt Cobain hand written lyric just comparing it with available Cobain writings that are available on the internet. Good observation as usual Mike Aring!
That is what I did for comparison. The writing on the hand written lyric just does not match his writing in his journal.
Hey Mike, I agree with you. They just don't look right at all. Although, my magazine has Krist different than the usual I know it's real since you got it signed. I'm surprised Gotta Have It has these listed.
Here is a picture of Kurt Cobain signing on Nov 20, 1991 at Baracelli, Italy that I just found. Look at how he holds his pen sigining!! Unusual way of signing.

I have also update and added a few more Nirvana autographs on my album. Check it out.

Cheers.
I've moved this discussion to Music Autographs. The link won't change.
