Good point about listening to offers, Ballroom. I don't think someone is doing anything wrong when they price something high. Even a new collector can easily find out if something is priced competitively. It's not like authenticity.

I'd say pay $25 for an opinion off PSA/DNA instead of debating, the decision could have been made a lot quicker. What's $25 nothing, more time is spent on here debating than $25.

Simon the problem with what you are saying ( and I think I speak for most of us on the site) is that psa's quick opinion is not to reliable ,especially on music items..expecially on beatles signed anything.I so much trust all of the guys on this site to give there excellent opinions instead of psa.that's what I do and if you listen to most on here you will also learn from them, like I have.
You have no idea who is looking at your piece when you pay for a quick opinion.I've used it personally at least 7-8 times, half the time they were dead wrong.as you can see ,I don't give their quick opinion service much praises lately.

It's David by the way. And I agree with you. Try this submit an autograph to them, then a month later take a slightly different photo of the same piece and you get a different answer. That is 100% true, tried and tested on over 10 autographs. And when you get a PSA/DNA coa you also don't get to find out who authenticated it.   The point I'm making is it doesn't really matter if the autograph is genuine or not it's if PSA/DNA have authenticated it.  Get into the buying vintage posters market as that is a lot easier to prov e if a poster has been faked or not.

I wouldn't big myself up so much to say PSA/DNA are wrong as you aren't bigger than PSA/DNA, but I can say you get different opinions every time you submit the same piece to them.

I not saying I'm bigger them.it's just like you said.alot of inconsistencies in their opinions, that's all.

A lot of vintage posters get restoration  work done to them, so that's risky business as well.

So then why tell someone that they should spend $25 on a quick opinion from PSA/DNA if you know it is a crap shoot? Maybe there are "experts" at PSA, but like you said you don't even know who is doing the authenticating...You basically are saying as long as they issue a COA it makes it now real. I am sure you realize even "experts" make mistakes.
