Jason had started a thread; http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/what-is-exact-proof-...

and like all good threads there are discussions witin discussions but this sub-discussion came up on a dealer Milton Lubin & http://www.substancecollectables.com/boxing_hall_of_fame___1

It appears that in 2003 although the Lubans were properly served but they failed to answer the complaint.

DECISION AND ORDER
MARRERO, District Judge.
By order dated July 22, 2003, the Court authorized entry of a default judgment in favor of plaintiffs Tiffany (NJ) Inc. and Tiffany and Company (collectively, "Tiffany") and against defendants Milton and Connie Luban and their company Luban Incorp. (collectively, the "Lubans"), the proprietors of an internet site selling counterfeit Tiffany merchandise in violation of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1114(1), 1116(d). Upon consideration of Tiffany's written and oral evidence as to its damages, the Court awards Tiffany a judgment in the amount of $573,818.64.

Jason went on further in one comment;

This link is the link with the guy and the actual photo we have on files one doctored that has the guy mentioned above.

On 17 May 2012 the guys who were building a file heard the following news : He received a letter from the lawyers of Prince Marketing and Super Star Greetings today. Telling him to remove all items and images of Joe Frazier, Micky Ward, Roy Jones Jr, Hulk Hogan, Chuck Zito, Vinnie Paz and the Super Star Greetings logo. This guy is total scum and is getting what he deserves.

The most famous website in the world for tackling fakes did a special on him here you can read it for your selfs. click the link.

I wont pu the photos yet I will leave them as aces in our hands till we have too but I believe there is enough here to make your minds up if this is true or not.

Recently I received some photos that appear to have been photoshopped and were alleged to be used by Milton Lubin to promote his product offerings.  The one on the left is what has been alledged as the real one while the one on the right has been alledged as fake ones that were used as "proof" pictures.

One recent excerpt from Jason;

Ps yes DB strange here seems no one in America cares about what s going on in their door step and on of this forums own.    (sometimes Jason - it takes some extra cycles ;-)

Since I have no dogs in this fight and Milton Lubin is an AML member here as was pointed out in the intial thread above, it would be pertinent to have some feedback on these claims and allegations.

 I would bet the Tiffany stuff is all fake, everyone should let Tiffany & Co. know. Get a company with some resourced on his ass.

BTW, all of Milton's listings got dropped. I noticed the other day at the beginning of this thread that he had the 3% Paypal surcharge as part of his 'location' field. Obviously Ebay got smarter about it, because they dropped him anyway.

Substance Collectables could be featured in a book A Case Study of Companies , under the chapter
"Don't let this happen to you."

First, hello all. This is my first post on here and sadly it has to be a negative one about this dealer. About a year and a half ago I came across his website and I was shocked when I came across a photo I took of a Matt Hughes (UFC Hall of Famer) signing which was on his website as a "proof" photo. After sending an email and some back and forth he finally removed it from his site but this was only after me threatening to get my family retained attorney involved. Also, as it has been shown, he lifts others photos and uses as his own. Here is one more example I have not seen documented on this thread. The first is from Substance Collectibles site and the next is from CSC Memorabilia who held a private signing with the pictured athlete. Love the site and look forward to my "education" in collecting.

Unfotunately there is not any good news in this forum about Milton of Substance Collectibles  I am in the process of getting photos together of a fake Ali glove Milton sold me. Along with the photos will be copies of emails from Milton to me making statements that will show everyone what kind of a person Milton is first hand in his own words. This forum is the perfect place to show what I have to everyone. More to come as I have a bit of work ahead of me.  Stay tuned.

The following Ali glove was sold to me by Milton at Substance Collectibles. Autographed "Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay Greatest of All Time". After receiving the glove I asked Milton via email who would be the best company to send this glove to and have authenticated because I wanted another authentication company behind the autograph besides Substance. Milton told me "not PSA/DNA" but that he would email his "friends" at JSA. He had copied me on the emails and JSA directed Milton to have me send it in. Milton made it appear as if he has "friends" at JSA but all he did was copy me on an email to JSA asking when their next roadshow was. As you can see from the JSA letter, the glove was NOT authentic. When I emailed Milton this time about the glove not being authentic per JSA, Milton emailed me back saying "do you think I sell my items based on a third party authenticator's opinion"? Milton then ignored all my emails asking for a return. Guaranteed authentic based on his website? I then sent the glove to yet another authenticator who told me this was the worst attempt at an Ali autograph that he had ever seen.

FAKE..........FAKE...........FAKE...............FAKE

That is a pretty bad one. What do you do now?

This is what I do now. I post it here so that other buyers can see that the Substance Collectibles authentication means NOTHING and that Milton's statement on his website that "all items are 100% guranteed" is false and deceitfull, in my opiniom and my opinoin is based on fact.

To Jason,  if i were Milton Luban i would sue the pants off of you for defamation of charector!!!  You as all other dealers and collectors are haters of him and jealous of what he does.  I personally have done over 100k in dealings with him and he has never sold me a fake or forged item as your punks say.   You guys all hide behind the screen and believe me if i ever run into you we will see how tough you are in person!!   I am 57 years old and will put you in your place young fella!!!!    Stop all the hating!!  You guys should be going after companies and dealers who sell GAI, Ace,+ Christopher Morales, and others whom put out junk and questionable items at best.

I would love to run into you in real life. You are the tough guy hiding behind the screen.
