eBay Buy-It-Nows of $10K+ for simple signed pages are fishing excercises in my opinion. Some people don't have the time or cannot be bothered to trawl through hundreds of auctions looking for a bargain. Others have too much money - if you've just got your Investment bank bonus of $1 million what is $10k? Speaking personally, I enjoy the chase so I would never want to pay top dollar for the sake of saving time even if I was loaded.

ebay is full of sellers that are dreaming.....look at all the Paul Mc signed albums......over 2K and everyone of them has been on ebay for years.  just because the bin price is what it is, does not mean the items are worth that.   I think these idiots see one item listed at 2K, and figure that is the going price and the next thing you know there are 20 of them up there, all for the same bin price. they will never sell.

This set sold on eBay yesterday for $8,088. Had 3 COAs - PSA, Caiazzo, & Tracks. As always, autographs are worth what someone is willing to pay. Personally, I wouldn't spend $8K on a autograph book set of Beatles sigs.

its certainly a personal decision. but an autograph page with all 4 Beatles on it is still the least expensive medium for Beatles signatures.

Terrier,
Is an album signed the way to go when buying Beatles?

it depends on your bank account.  a signed beatles album will cost you at least 60K.  I would much prefer a nice photo signed by all 4, which would be in the 20's.

How about a photo/postcard signed on the back (like the ebay-auction Ira referred to).. wouldn`t that be more worth than a normal albumpage since it actually is a Beatles-item rather than a piece of paper from an autograph-album?  (maybe that`s why it sold for 8k, which is more than what would be normal for an autograph book...)

Yes, and signed menus seem to be valued more than photos/postcards signed on back. If Robin has big bucks, a signed album on front would be the ideal, followed by album signed-on-back, then a signed program on front - which to me, seeing auctions results from the past 3 years - give the most bang for the buck.

I love Beatles autographs and I own several sets.  The price that these items are going for is sort of a big question mark.  I have seen full sets routinely going for 3500 to 5500 USD on Heritage and Christies auctions.  Clearly this is much lower than the 8-9K prices quoted here.  I do not know the reason for this disparity in price since most are  undedicated album pages with valid COA's.  Any comments?

I'm not too sure where the $8-9k amounts are coming from, unless we are referring to high-end dealer prices or sellers chancing their arm with ludicrous Buy-It-Now prices on ebay. I would think that at least 80% of album pages would go for $4 -5k at auction.
