Lady ga ga just sold a bunch of signed cd covers on pre order for 20 dollars and then I see people selling them close to 200 and up.

Are dealers asking too much for their graphs?

I'm not  talking about people who have passed on.

So does mine, but i always have to consider tax .

That came under "etc" :)

Perhaps I am more interested in the "what" determines the "price". One can exert some control there.

Oh, no doubt for sure. Yes, the eBay and PayPal fees are a pain because typically the seller wants at least market value when he collects his final payout; so the seller has to account for that, but, of course, the buyer doesn't want to pay the extra cost.

But some sellers put ridiculous prices on their items that are truly unrealistic and out of touch. History Direct is an extreme example of this, but there are sellers that aren't nearly as bad as HD, but that are still way too much.
The brian wilson books the guys are asking 3 or 4 times the amount of the book through the store.
Some sellers just are just looking for a sucker.
