The T area looks a little off but Im leaving this for Mr Farrell.

It sold  1,726

Wow, sold for $1,726 to some unfortunate fellow. Wasn't actually thinking of purchasing it, but seemed worth flagging it given the Ruth and World Series association. Either way, always appreciate the expert insight that helps make me a better collector!

Yes, thank you Mr. Farrell! The "Rickenbacker" is very curious.

I am hoping the winner submits it to PSA or JSA.

Just an FYI - It DID pass JSA authentication. All signatures.

Sorry your opinion was different than theirs, sounds like not the first time. It is interesting to note how many times Ruth and Rickenbacker were photographed together. Not an unusual situation. Why a forger would put Farley on anything would be worth questioning.

Actually, there is logic behind that. It was well known Rickenbacker was against President Roosevelt (D) policies. I found a story that said Dewey, a Republican, actively recruited Rickenbacker to run for President. Proves nothing of authenticity, but plausible that they were together.

Just the type of person our 'rookie' mate selling that Jeter card needs. Perhaps someone should put him in touch with that buyer. :)

Incidentally, not my auction, Christopher. Just came up in some search results.

Maybe Eddie wasn't be sharpest tool in the shed and didn't know hoe to spell his last name

I never seen that one yet Mr. Farrell. I do remember the HOF helmet with over 20 fake autographs on it with a COA by Christopher Morales. Too bad the idiot forged Walter Payton as "Walter Peyton"
