for the record, not everything sold through RR has his actual COA. Sometimes they say it is available for a fee. There is a small chance he hadn't looked at it. IDK, it might be in the actual ebay auction now but I have not looked.

Then he shouldn't allow his name to be used by them , Steiger , I love all your posts but if he is going to get in bed with R& R then its his job to control , Pre Certified by REAL.....

am I wrong ?

Richard, I am the one who bought this "Wall" album from RR.

It's easy to look up on their web site, all you have to do is go to past auctions and enter Pink Floyd and click on click on Pink Floyd album and you will find it, it's on the second page and is item # 277 from RR's catalog # 403 (February 2013)….I paid $5,026.80 for this album.

You will see in the listing a scan of Real/ Roger Epperson's Certificate of Authenticity listed with the lot and it's dated 6/04/2009.

I questioned an RR rep at the time of the auction about these the autographs, because the bidding was getting up there and wanted an updated opinion (since his COA was from 6/09) from Roger, which they got from him and he said "the signatures were real, and that they were just "rushed'.  So I continued bidding after confirming the "Wall" album was authentic and won it.

I have been doing business with RR for many years now and NEVER had a problem with them, they go out of their way to ensure what they are selling is authentic. I trust RR, I don't know Roger, but I see where he's the go to person for authenticating music autographs and I felt comfortable with his assessment of this set of autographs on the album as being "rushed signatures"

Can it be that this album was signed by the band at an airport, party or hotel etc. where they wouldn't have been signed picture perfect?

Take a look at John Lennon and Bob Dylan signatures as examples, they're all over the place items that they have signed.

I am not speaking for Roger Epperson here, and you are right that he could clear this all up by just replying to the questions that have arose here….Unless there's something I don't know going on with him and some of the people that posted on this thread and he's ignoring them.

I see there's a lot of mud slinging going on with people who Roger had a falling out with….So is that the reason why he hasn't responded here?

Have they been targeting him on here?

Roger obviously is not responding for a reason, a reason that one can only speculate as to why, it might not be because he's not backing his opinion on this "Wall" album being authentic or not.

I can't fend for him, I am only speculating to why he hasn't responded.

Steve has responded about this situation and I appreciate that he did.

Remember if he's wrong, I am the one who loses here, I paid a lot of money for this "Wall" album with the knowledge that's it's authentic and I still believe so, until I hear differently from Roger Epperson.

Bob Herman

I hear you , it is another collector of Floyd who claims it is bad ....the fact Roger , has not come here to dispute that comment concerns me , considering his litigious nature when he knows the other guy doesn't have the resources to fight him, I am shocked he has not resolved this by now.

Remember , Bernie Madoff , The Hunts with Silver and many other so called experts were exposed in the long run. What about the mighty Mastro Auction house ...this whole thing stinks in my opinion and I feel for you .

The guy that runs RR(Bob Eaton) is also on the same panel of experts over at JSA that Roger is. Bob Eaton's expertise is listed as-Entertainment. One of the worst areas of JSA's authentication. He is another authenticator/seller of autographs.

All of their entertainment experts should be fired. That's how bad JSA is with entertainment items.

"Remember if he's wrong, I am the one who loses here, I paid a lot of money for this "Wall" album with the knowledge that's it's authentic and I still believe so, until I hear differently from Roger Epperson."

Yeah, you or the guy who buys it from you does since you are selling it before clarification is made. In that case you will have made a 60% profit and the next guy loses.

That's where you are wrong Meyer.

If I find out from Roger Epperson that he made a mistake and the album is not authentic, I pull the item from being offered for sale.

If it sells and I find out after that it wasn't authentic from Roger, I would contact the buyer and issue a full refund.

So the "next guy" doesn't lose as you are implying they would!

Know who you're talking to Meyer, I am an honest man and you don't know me.

Bob Herman

Have you specifically written to Roger and asked him to re-evaluate his opinion on this piece since it has been called into question by numerous collectors with expertise in Pink Floyd signatures?  Because I wouldn't hold my breath for him to post here after 20 pages full of experienced people proving he screwed up.

Hi Mike,

No I haven't.

When I bought/won this in 2/13 I also got a PSA for it and RR's LOA as well as Roger's that's pictured with the lot.

Roger did look at it again as per my request with RR to confirm his opinion from 2009 (see below).

I questioned an RR rep at the time of the auction about these the autographs, because the bidding was getting up there and wanted an updated opinion (since his COA was from 6/09) from Roger, which they got from him and he said "the signatures were real, and that they were just "rushed'.

So actually I have 3 LOA's with this.

Why don't you go back to R and R and tell them you either need a new cert from Roger stating its good or you want your money back.....that may get Roger to move .....

You say I'm wrong Bob. Until either happens we'll never know. In this hobby there are very few folks I take the word of and Bob Herman isn't one of them. No offense intended. No I don't know you and I hope your a man of your word.

But at this very minute I am right. There is questions on this album and you are still trying to sell it. Guess we both have our own definition of honest. Honest to me would be to yank it and contact the authenticator. Doesn't take that long to get an answer. That's just my opinion. Maybe others see things differently.

IS THIS GOOD EXPERTS ......What about this Rick ?
