To me the question would be what has happened to this gelatin silver photograph that has seriously altered the eye appeal and value?
For some reason the photo faded even though it was covered this Picture came from the lot of 20th century Fox
It is not fading but a chemical problem in the development. Unfortunately, it is fatal in terms of eye appeal. Collectors will avoid this type of problem like the plague.
This photograph is so flawed from development or storage or both it is nearly worthless. I would never ever buy, sell or suggest such a problem peice that we haven't even mentioned the signature yet. There is a term for this reaction/appearance but I don't recall it.
Sad since the signature is spot on James
