I am SICK and tired of seeing Yasiel Puig forgeries "certified" by Global Authentics over and over. Every single time I search for Puig autographs on eBay, there are new Puig forgeries "certified" by Global Authentics (GA, Steve Sipe). It is a miracle that eBay allows this GA junk on their site, but as we all know eBay is a cesspool of forgeries.
As soon as Puig had his breakout season, *magically* any "signed" item imaginable was available on eBay by the boatload, accompanied by a "Global Authentics COA". Hats, balls, All-Star balls, dual signed balls, jerseys (any color), you name it, you can find it on eBay right now "certified" by Global Authentics.
The sad part is the majority of these "autographs" are not even CLOSE to resembling authentic Yasiel Puig signatures. But as we know, most people focus on the "COA"/seller's feedback without even looking at the signature which is just downright backwards.
Here are 3 things ANYONE buying autographs on eBay needs to know:
1. 100% feedback from a seller means NOTHING except for the fact that they ship fast.
2. "COAs/Matching Holograms" are nothing but pieces of paper and stickers, and a common focus in the description by forgery sellers
3. If it seems too good to be true, IT IS.
Now, back to this Global Authentics JUNK. IMHO there is ZERO % chance the majority of this stuff is even being looked at by anyone halfway knowledgeable with autographs, and definitely no one who is familiar with Yasiel Puig's autograph. Many are childish forgeries, some slow/shaky forgeries that anyone with any knowledge on autographs would realize are poor forgery attempts.
Here is the sad part, if you see anything "signed" by Puig that comes with a "GA COA", I would be willing to bet it's a forgery. That is how bad it is IMHO. Puig is the focus of this discussion, but believe me, they are not the only "star" whose autograph market is flooded with GA forgeries. It is downright sickening, and I'm sure one day we will find out about this massive scam.
The "GA Puigs" are so awful that it's not even one forgery style that they could've "made a mistake on", (which I'm sure Steve Sipe would claim if he was still a member here). They will certify ANYTHING, you don't even have to get the spelling right! It is downright laughable.
Here are tons of laughable Yasiel Puig "autographs" certified by Global Authentics that are NOT EVEN CLOSE to being authentic signatures. Putrid fakes:
And if you want to see any more, just search "Yasiel Puig Autographs" on eBay, I'm sure they'll be plenty...

Keep up the great work, Ryan!!!
Between GA and GFA, Ebay is raking in the dollars from forgeries!!!
it seems like GA picks a target superstar, hooks up with someone supplying the items, and certs them. there are also a bunch of Brady GA certed forgeries flying around.
here is a beauty, certed by GA:

Wow, a real beauty!!!
Yikes!!!
The bad thing is it's pretty close to how Koufax signs in person during ST. His free auto is so rushed and sloppy, I'm not sure how anyone can authenticate it, let alone want to add it to their collection.
have you seen one with the baseline so screwed up as this one?
