Garrett - The signature is a bit of a variance but I believe real. It's signed "To Saul" and that was a collector named Saul Goodman. Here's a little about him from the History For Sale website (they handled much of his collection when it was broken up):
"Saul Goodman was a New York business man by day, pursued his love of film and theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen."
There's still material from that collection on their site.
