Hello Ian

I think the signatures on both items are not genuine.

I´m not an expert, but I do know INXS good enough to make this call.

Let´s see what others have to say, but I´m quite sure I´m not mistaken here. Sorry.

How much have you paid for these and where did you buy them?

I am always suspicious when it appears that the same marker is used by all band members.  Of course circumstances will at times present themselves to allow this to happen but I feel that most albums are not usually signed by band members passing the same marker around in the same location.

Hi mike and a,b thanks for your comments.Mike i fully understand where your are coming from and unless you dont witness these signings in person you will always have these kind of supicious feelings especially as there are so so many fakes on the open market but to put a positive spin on your thoughts i do own a few signed  competition winning cd;s,all with provenance from the fan clubs and publishers of the competitions, and all of the signatures signed in the same coloured marker pen.

if i may ask...where did you buy them from, often thats as good as a signpost as we need

I don't mean the same color marker.  I mean the same exact marker.  Of course it is only speculation but take a close look at the items since you have them right in front of you.  Is the thickness of the signatures consistent?  If it is and it appears to be the same exact marker I would be suspicious.  You are right about fan club CDs being of the same color marker.  I have one from Edens Edge that I purchased on their website signed by all three members.  The markers do not appear to be the exact same thickness however.  Let me know if you want me to post a photo.  I will be happy to dig it up for you.

Hi mike, sorry got ya now mate. The LP is of the same pen no doubt. The cd cover greatest hits looks like all but tim farress is of the same pen.The cd was purchased from Jason cullan in the UK whome im talking to with regards to its provenance. The LP was purchased from a music and celebrity fair at the NEC Birmingham some time ago.

rareandsigned.com.....that throws a red flag !

aka mr.cullen....coa's on ebays banned list...inxs one of his 'specialities' along with queen,jk rowling...the subject of a trading standards investigation

Hi a.b and rich yes it does sound like a bad apple but for all the possible suspect examples theirs the possibility that there is good stock within his libery.Going back to mike earlier on closer inspection on the lp 3 signatures are of a thinner pen thickness and 3 from a thicker marker pen.The cd shows up 4 of one type and 2 of another thickness of pen,iv had time to take them off the wall for a proper look (thanks for the tips).

Lol going back to jason cullan iv spoke to him on a few times and he has always been open and has always answered my emails very quickly so can't fault him there.I popped the question to him regarding the ebay coa ban and he said that he wished he had never got involved as firstly he was assiting them with the issues raised of fake jk rowling books and got scape goated for his imput, secondly jason says that ebay wanted his company to be apart of their registered authentication group but wanted rareandsigned to pay a fee which jason said he would not do and hence that he eventally recieved a coa ban from ebay. Now im not sticking up for jason or knocking his company as iv no experiance or authorityjust wanted to share this.

Sorry for the poor grammer guys,iv been up 16 hours.Saying that my english is poor at times.

Ian,

well, what do you expect him to say?

"Yes, sorry, you caught me...I´m selling fakes" :)

Please turn to Roger Epperson...he is the true music expert here...and you will have peace of mind about your items. Again, I´m certainly no expert, but I don´t think I´m wrong here.

Im learning all the time mate and iv used roger in the past and he has been very helpful especially with a recent floyd wall lp which i assume you have read was not as bad as first thought but i still sent it back to colin crabbe for a refund. And yes i dont expect anyone to discredit themselves, bit of honesty would be nice.lol.Thanks for your help so far guys.Does anyone else have any inxs signatures to compare bar a.b's which im looking at by the way,not forgot!!.
