Today, I received in the mail a 3x5 index card signed beautifully in black ink pen by 6-time Emmy Award winning actress, Tyne Daly. She starred in such TV shows as "Cagney and Lacey" and "Judging Amy." She signed her name and wrote "Thank you, Jeffery" underneath. What a classy lady. Thank you, Ms. Daly, as I will always remember that great cop show of the 1980's.

If you live in or visit Los Angeles be sure to go to the Hollywood History Museum in the old Max Factor building on Highland Boulevard. The exhibits are great and they have a large collection of cut autographs beautifully framed. It's a must when in Hollywood!

MY MOVIE MEMORABILIA AND MORE
Comment by Walter Oleksy on December 18, 2010 at 6:17am

I am a new member, Walter Oleksy, and have a large collection of autographed portraits of movie stars of the 1940s.  I wrote fan letters to many of the stars and supporting players while in high school and got wonderful portraits in return, most of them autographed.  Olivia de Havilland not only signed her portrait to me but wrote a note saying she would be visiting GIs at camps for Christmas 1943.  Una O'Connor signed her portrait and included a note about working with "that clever little Margaret O'Brien in The Canterville Ghost," and then sent me a signed note in a Christmas card.  See my page for a list of more of the autographed portraits.  I need to sell them so I can keep my house in this terrible economy.  I am the author of 30 books for preteens and teenagers but publishers seemed to have stopped buying new manuscripts.

Yes, I'd say that is Lorne Greene.
