Nascar invaded the Irish Hills of Michigan and I scored some sweet autographs on Saturday. I got IP sigs fro: Miss Sprint Cup Jacklyn Roney,  Fox Sports One personality Wendy Venturi, and former drivers Bobby Dotter, Kenny Wallace, Larry McReynolds, and Darrell Waltrip.

Could not believe my eyes when I saw this at my door today. A signed 8x10 from The Black Knight, Gary Player. Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I sent a crappy blank index card hoping for an autograph, and I get this instead. Beyond my wildest dreams.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of former Auburn University safety, Scott Blackmon. Scott played for the Tigers from 1968-1970, and was a key member of that great team in 1970, that went 9-2, beat 'Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl, and finished ranked 10th in the country.

Got the autograph of arguably the greatest women's basketball player in Georgia Tech history today in Ida Neal-Smith. Ida was an All-ACC selection in 1989, when she averaged 19.1 points, 7.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Got the autograph of former Auburn University punter, Dave Beverly, in the mail today. Dave was All-SEC in 1971 when he lead the SEC in punting average. He went on to a nice career in the NFL with the Oilers and Packers (1974-1980.)
