Another NFL great added to the collection. Tom Banks was an All-SEC center for Auburn University in 1968 and 1969, and went on the be named All-Pro 4 times while playing with the old St. Louis Cardinals from 1971-1980.

Got the autograph of a should-be Hall of Famer today in Andre Reed. He was a finalist this year for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and why he's not be elected yet I have no answer for. 951 rececptions, over 13,000 yards, 87 touchdown receptions, and a Pro Bowl selection every year from 1988-1994 is one impressive resume to me.

Got another Georgia Tech legend today in the form of Gary Lee. Gary was a fantastic receiver and kick returner for Tech from 1983-1986. He is most famous for his 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Georgia in 1985 that broke the game wide open and led to a 20-16 Yellow Jacket victory. I found it on youtube:

Got Georgia Tech's 1959 All-American linebacker, Maxie Baughan, in the mail today. He's in the College Football Hall of Fame, and was on the Philadelphia Eagle's 1960 NFL Championship team.

Got 2 really good ones in the mail today: Bryan Shelton and Eddie Anderson.

Bryan was an All-American tennis star with Georgia Tech in 1988, who then became a successful coach, guiding the Georgia Tech women's tennis team to the national championship in 2007, and is now the head coach of the men's program at the University of Florida.

Eddie has been a legendary football star at every level. He was one of the best players to come out of Warner Robins(GA) High School in the early 1980's when they were a national powerhouse, then starred with Fort Valley State University by amassing 26 interceptions in 4 years there. He played 13 years in the NFL from 1986-1998, and set a Raiders team record in 1992 by returning an interception 102 yards for a touchdown on Monday Night Football.

Got a nice Andy Ashby autograph in the mail today. Andy pitched from 1991-2004 with several different teams, most notably though with the Padres in 1998 and 1999. He was an All-Star both of those years, and guided the Padres to the 1998 National League Championship. On June 15, 1991, as a rookie, he became just the 24th pitcher ever in the major leagues to strike out 3 batters on 9 pitches in 1 inning.
