Recently, I have gotten through the mail the autographs of LSU football legends Doug Moreau (flanker for LSU from 1963-1965 and 1965 Sugar Bowl MVP), Mike Demarie (All-SEC guard for LSU from 1969-1971), and Johnny Robinson (All-SEC halfback for LSU's 1958 National Championship team.) And yesterday, I scored an in-person autograph of Atlanta Falcons linebacker, Mike Peterson, at a Kraft foods promotion at a Publix grocery store in Smyrna, GA.

Today was Leo Mazzone's 3rd annual Furry Friends Fundraiser, raising money for the Companion Animal Connection. This year's event was held at Glover Park in the town square in Marietta, GA. Greg McMichael, Charlie Liebrandt, Javier Lopez, Mark Lemke, John Rocker, and Otis Nixon were among the former Braves in attendance. As I have previously gotten autographs from all these guys before, I was after former Braves relief pitcher, Rick Camp. Rick pitched for the Braves from 1976-1985, winning 56 games, earning 57 saves, and posting a 3.37 ERA. He was super nice and really enjoyed seeing everyone who came out for today's event.

This weekend brought me the autographs through the mail of 2 LSU Tiger football legends in Max Fugler and Hokie Gajan. Max was an All-American center on LSU's famed 1958 National Champion team. Hokie was a fantastic fullback for LSU from 1977-1980, and lead LSU is rushing yards in 1979.

Today, I got through the mail the autograph of former University of Georgia and NFL quarterback, Matt Robinson. Matt was instrumental, along with QB Ray Goff, in guiding UGA to the SEC title in 1976, and a #10 ranking in the season's final polls. He played in the NFL from 1977-1982, with the Jets, Broncos, and Bills, passing for 3,519 yards and 18 touchdowns. In 1978, he led the NFL with 16.1 yards per completion.

Today's mail brought me 2 more South Carolina Gamecocks sports legends: Bill Landrum and Bobby Cremins. Bill was a pitcher for the Gamecocks from 1978-1980, and was their leader in wins and strikeouts during that time. He would later play in the major leagues for 8 seasons, posting 18 wins, 58 saves, and a 3.39 ERA. Bobby was the team captain of those powerful Gamecocks basketball teams from 1970-1972, and has had a very successful college basketball coaching career. He was named the 1990 Naismith College Coach of the Year, and has won over 500 games.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of former South Carolina quarterback and NFL legend, Dan Reeves. Dan was the quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 1962-1964, and then played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1965-1972, helping lead them to a victory in Super Bowl VI. Dan would go on to one of the greatest coaching careers ever in NFL history, winning 201 total games, and wound up either playing or coaching in 9 Super Bowls.
