This week, I got TTM autographed trading cards from Pro Football Hall of Famers, Seve Largent and Dan Hampton, along with autographs from Charlie Rymer, former Georgia Tech All-American golfer and current Golf Channel personality. Charlie signed my Georgia Tech trading card I had of him, and sent along a hand written letter thanking me for the fond memories from Tech I wrote to him about, plus a signed 5x7! Class act from one of the classiest guys in all of golf.

Picked up a few in-person autographs from 3 former Atlanta Braves today: Darrel Chaney, shortstop from 1976-1979, Rob Belloir, shortstop from 1975-1978, and Charlie Leibrandt, pitcher from 1990-1992. All 3 guys were all super nice and conversed with us fans while signing for about an hour today. Had a great time, except for the Marlins beating us 3-1.! :(

My incredible run at good mail days continues; today's mail brought my the autograph of former NFL quarterback, Brad Johnson. Brad played for several teams: the Vikings, Redskins, Buccaneers, and Cowboys. But it was with the Buccaneers he had his most success with, guiding them to a win in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Hi Dave: I was just wondering .... if a celebrity won't willingly sign an autograph, why would you want it in your collection? Am I the only one who limits their collected autographs to those people I truly respect and admire?

With football returning, I saw that the PS3 Madden 12 Hall Of Fame edition is supposed to have a Mashall Faulk autograph card in each one. From Amazon: Autographed Panini Card - Each copy of the Hall of Fame Edition will include one of four exclusive Marshall Faulk trading cards, featuring a personally hand-signed autograph from Marshall himself.

I think it lists 120,000 copies. I'm a Rams fan so I want to get it but I hope it's not an AP and actually hand-signed.

Just checked the mail and found the autograph of former LSU quarterback from 1982-1985, Jeff Wickersham. Jeff was a tremendous big game quarterback for LSU. They beat USC on the road in 1984, and then Notre Dame on the road in 1985. Jeff signed an LSU Collegiate Collections card and a personalized and signed 8x10 action shot from that upset win at USC. What a classy guy!

That's what I am going to do from now on, David, as you and a couple others have strongly suggested. I have learned my lesson! BTW, can you believe what they did to the college sports trivia games we played? They took away all the prizes! Oh well, it was fun anyways. I don't play anymore, as I don't have anything to work towards. Call me sour grapes, I guess!

Jeff....the next time I would send a check. I stopped sending cash years ago just for the same thing that happened to you. I think some of these guys get so many things in the mail to sign they can't keep track. It used to always be a win win situation when I sent checks. My bank used to send the checks back to me and then I would end up getting a free autograph when they signed my check. Now my bank as well as probably most don't return the checks monthly.

Today I got through the mail the autograph of former baseball player, Riccardo Ingram. Riccardo was a First Team All-American and ACC Player of the Year at Georgia Tech in 1987, and would later play in the major leagues for the Tigers and Twins.
