Name: Rammstein

Rammstein is a German industrial metal band formed in Berlin in 1993 belonging to the Neue Deutsche Härte movement. Keyboardist Christian "Doktor Flake" Lorenz described Rammstein's musical genre as "tanz metall" in an interview, precisely to underline the union between metal and electronic sounds (tanz in German means dance). The group's name refers to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, the scene of a serious plane crash in 1988. The second m was added to suggest an analogy with the verb rammen (from German: to crash violently).
