I'd love to know as well, because I've seen one just like this for sale.
The important traits here are:
1. "Always": This usually accompanies this version of the signature, which worries me. Possibly signifying secretarial?
2. The "M" starts from the bottom. Most Dean sigs have an "M" which starts from the top, often with a stem included.
3. The "t" is not crossed from after the end of the signature, as is usually seen.
These similarities seem to be consistent with several versions of his sig that I've seen. It screams secretarial to me, but I'd REALLY like to hear from some experts on this.
Here's the one I'm currently comparing yours to... the sigs themselves are almost identical:
