Can I assume these autographs are real?

I just bought a poster on eBay from the TV show “Vikings” signed by two of its actors. I researched the eBay seller and actually saw she had a history of selling a mix of both real and fake autographs. Normally, this would be a red flag and a pass for me - however, she said this poster is a pre-signed handout from the 2016 San Diego Comic Con. I matched it up with two other examples of the same poster previously sold from other sellers and everything matches - the poster itself, the ink color,…See More

Should I sent these items in to the PSA?

I just won these two cast-signed comic books off auction from VIP Fan Auctions. These are comic books based off of the TV show Vikings produced by MGM. Normally, I want every signed item I have to have either a PSA/Beckett/JSA certification (or CGC Signature Series certification for comic books). However, in this situation, the comics come with a COA directly from VIP Fan Auctions who is MGM's officially authorized prop seller. I am also pretty familiar with the cast's autographs, and they…See More

David replied to Nick Finch's discussion Is Outlaw Hobbies legit?
"I know this is an old post, but I wanted to leave this note here for anyone researching this seller. I just checked a batch of autographs in their store from a particular show that I am familiar with and they appear to be fakes. They just look too…"

Mike Shepherd replied to David's discussion Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a PSA COA?
"It should not be necessary to upgrade your autographs to LOAs.  Not even for peace of mind.  I prefer LOAs for items that I do not want a sticker affixed to.  Otherwise, the stickers do not bother me, and the COAs are sufficient."

"Thanks for the advice! I don't know her personally, but I have met her at at fan event and taken some photos with her. I have around 5-6 signed items from her and some other really cool Lagertha stuff such as her screen-used wedding dress and…"

Mark Adams replied to David's discussion Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a PSA COA?
"I would only ensure that you check the relevant stickers/hologram are genuine by contacting the relevant issuer etc. I have encountered a few auctions that refuse to show the sticker until you win the auction. Bizarre! LOA are really only needed for…"

Etienne replied to David's discussion Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a PSA COA?
"This seems to be good advice, David.  Another question: How about the auction houses that note  that the item you are bidding on has been pre-certified by a given TPA? If you know that the item you are bidding on has the seal of approval…"

BallroomDays67 replied to David's discussion Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a PSA COA?
"I doubt that the certification is fake. The fake certs and stickers are associated with more expensive names. In this case, I would suggest asking for opinions of the signature rather than sending it to PSA."

"Absolutely not necessary to obtain the full blown LOA. I also would be reluctant sending them by mail etc.  By the way love Katheryn Winnick performance in vikings. A top notch actresse.  Regards,  Mark "

David Lewis replied to David's discussion Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a PSA COA?
"If your certification number is the same thing you have purchased, you are good to go. You don't need a full later upgrade. I personally will not send anything thru the mail to get certified. In my case the major 3rd party authenticators attend…"

Is upgrading to a PSA Full Letter worth it if I already have a COA?

Hi all,A lot of recent talk in regards to fake PSA stickers/COAs has got me a bit worried for items I have in my current collection. I bought them off eBay with the PSA sticker/COA as assurance. It got me thinking, is it actually worth it to send these items in to the PSA to essentially certify the certification and receive a full letter upgrade? Resale value isn't a factor for me, it's more just for my own assurance. I'm considering it, but a part of me is uncomfortable taking the risk of the…See More
