"Rough calculations suggest that 200 hours under a certain UV lamp at a certain distance could achieve about 60 years worth of oxidation."

"UV radiation is what museums use for accelerated aging of both new recreations of past artist colours and also in the testing of modern pigments by manufacturers and technical researchers alike. In the study and testing of certain fugitive colors…"

"It is not a good choice of dealer but it is not suprising. In Norway the knowledge about autographs are minimal, and if the seller has a big record collection for sale as well the dealer would be perfect to sell to."

"The signatures aren’t consistent with any secretarials I’ve ever seen. Does it sound reasonable that the owner held onto it for 60 years and then consigned it to a record dealer that doesn’t deal in autographs? Any major auction…"

"I have not talked to the owner, just the seller (who is a trusted record dealer - but they have no knowledge about autographs). I have no reason to doubt it beeing from Sweeden in 63, but from my autograph experience I know «got it from the…"

Lars Olav Karlsen replied to Lars Olav Karlsen's discussion Beatles signed record
"Because the person who owns it has proof that they meet the Beatles, I cant imagine them buying this later and trying to sell it now as something they got since its a well known person."

BallroomDays67 replied to Lars Olav Karlsen's discussion Beatles signed record
"How do you know it was signed in ‘63? It definitely wasn’t signed by The Beatles, and there seems to be too much attention to detail for it to have been signed by any of their associates. They’re poorly done though."

Lars Olav Karlsen replied to Lars Olav Karlsen's discussion Beatles signed record
"These ARE from 1963, I have no doubt about that. The question is if it was signed by the Beatles at that date or anyone in their management and handed out."

Eric Keith Longo replied to Lars Olav Karlsen's discussion Beatles signed record
"My guess is UV radiation from a lamp along with more simple kitchen table techniques could accomplish this. The presentation does seem a bit overcooked here. Very curious to hear the opinions of others."

"I couldn’t tell you. I don’t know if they were artificially aged, if they’re older forgeries, or if the ink looks less aged in person. I’m judging the appearance of the signatures in which all four appear slowly and crudely…"
