Drew Max, Forensic Document Examiner, AAU, Babe Ruth Signed Stock Transfer Certificate George Herman Ruth

Here's another beauty I discovered on Ebay.

It's a George H. Ruth signed Stock Transfer Certificate.  It's "authenticated" by Drew Max, who calls himself a Forensic Document Examiner (FDE).  He has appeared numerous times on the Pawn Stars reality show.

Maybe Mr. Max can explain to me why he "authenticated" the below piece?  It's been over a decade since Operation Bullpen and according to the 2007 SCD interview with Drew Max, Mr. Max claimed that he was taken on an tour of the FBI warehouse with Tim Fitzsimmons to photograph the various forgeries that came out of Operation Bullpen.  Mr. Max also said "It was very nice that the FBI was able to help our library like that" when speaking in reference to his "fake autograph exemplar library.

So you mean to tell me that approximately 12 years following Operation Bullpen, that Drew Max, FDE, is still authenticating items like the George H. Ruth shown below?  According to the Drew Max COA, the below George H. Ruth signature was certified just recently on November 5, 2011.

I'm curious why Mr. Max, utilizing his stereoscopic microscope system, didn't pick up how slowly drawn that George H. Ruth signature is?

Actually, that George H. Ruth is more than just slowly drawn, it was signed at a turtleish pace.   Must have taken the signer at least 30 minutes to complete that signature of George H Ruth.

Here's another beauty I just discovered on Ebay that is "authenticated" by Drew Max, Forensic Document Examiner.  Look at this horrific Mickey Mantle signed hat being sold by Ebay seller georgejunior823.

Ebay also removed the Mickey Mantle signed cap certed by Drew Max, Forensic Document Examiner.

That hat is exactly like the hats I saw at AlwaysatAuction. He had a box of 100 of those. Had another box of 100 that just had the signature.

Hi Rick.  That Mantle forgery on a hat wasn't the Mantle that AAA sold.  The below Mantle forgery on a cap is the one that was sold by AAA.   They had certs from Morales, Taylor and AAU.

Yep your right Chris. Very impressive. You've even got the forgeries down by who sold what. I'd take your opinion on a Mantle over anybodies.

AAA had those like that with just the sig and with No. 7. They hadn't been certed yet when I saw them. But they were exactly like the example you just posted.

Thank you, Rick.  I saved a ton of stuff from AAA..........
