Interesting article. Looks like a chunk of this stuff was bought in Las Vegas with campaign funds. I'd be curious to see how many of the things he bought were forgeries.

Maybe if they find out he bought forgeries his dad could protest the businesses that peddled it and strong arm them for ransom.

Jesse Jackson Jr. apparently is a big fan of Michael Jackson,  Martin Luther King Jr. and Bruce Lee.

According to federal  charges filed Friday, the former congressman spent thousands of campaign  dollars on fan memorabilia including $4,600 on a Michael Jackson fedora and  $4,000 on a Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen guitar.

Those items are on a list filed in court of MLK, Bruce Lee  and Michael Jackson memorabilia he allegedly purchased with campaign money. Also  on the list is an $800 mink cashmere cape and $1,200 reversible mink  parka.

Right... should they pursue restitution, they'll find they are stuck with a bunch of worthless junk. The silver lining would be an investigation into the sellers of suspect material. You think Antiquities is crapping their pants right now that their material is under a very bright spotlight?

I would hope so. Hopefully the media catches wind of it and it hits the mainstream news. Would be good for amateurs to read about how rampant forgeries are.

Maybe someone in Chicago can call the prosecutor of this case and let them know what they have.
And hopefully this will lead to the closure of these so-called memorabilia stores around the country that have been ripping off people over the years.
