Hi guys, I need your opinion authenticating memorabilia. I recently purchased a signed Michael Jackson, Peter Pan sketch. However, some friends believe it may be fake! The signature comes with Drew Max AAU, GFA, and Toby Stoffa COAs. I’ve recently learned that they have had integrity problems in the past. MJ typically has 4 signature styles. Can you give me your opinion?
Fake. What you have heard is correct.
Hi Alexander,
I hate to say it but your Michael Jackson is absolutely fake in my opinion. GFA is a fraudulent authentication service used by the forgery industry to defraud collectors. Antiquities (Toby Stoffa) sold forgeries, and AAU Drew Max was as reliable as GFA.
Where did you buy this, on LiveAuctioneers?
Thanks for your feedback
eBay auction smh
When was the auction? Link? How did you pay?
You have a 14 day window from the 10th of this month - that is great! $610 was a red flag.
Thank you! I am definitely seeking a refund. I’m new to the field of memorabilia. Glad I got scammed early.
You would be hard pressed to find an authentic cut signature for that low of a price. All that gussying up is to distract you from the fake signature. Keep that in mind for the future.
My mistake - 14 days from receipt. I just read the insane auction text - that was a red flag too.
