In the December 2009 issue of AUTOGRAPH, Roger Epperson wrote what I consider to be the BEST article to date of the authenticity of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham's signatures.

Led Zeppelin is one of rocks most requested bands, most collected bands, and most FORGED bands. One way you can fight back and perhaps not get ripped off, is to ask whoever it is you are looking to purchase your next Led Zeppelin members autograph from, especially Robert Plant's, is "when" was this item signed and "where". Then, go quickly to either of the two links above and actually see if Robert Plant was even in that town on that day.

Now, the above is not 100% as it does not detail his day to day, every day of every year. However, it tells you when he was on tour and where, going back to the earliest of his Led Zep days. Therefore when "Mr. Fake" and "Mr. Bogus" try to sell you a Robert Plant signed photo that they say was autographed on August 1, 2002 in Los Angeles, you can tell them $##%@*&^!!!, as Robert actually was in New York on that day. You can bet if the information is fake, the signature most likely is too.
