To Blog or not to Blog.... that is the question.

Hi All,

I thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Wascher and I've been helping Steve moderate posts on the AML site here for a little over a month, as he has taken on some other responsibilities at this time and isn't always available.

We were talking today about the individual BLOG posts coming in that have one ebay seller and their forged item and we've decided together that we think that those types of posts would be better placed into the DISCUSSIONS areas, instead of in the BLOG area.

You can do this by clicking Forum and then clicking the ADD button on the right and your ready to go.

One of the main reasons we'd like to keep those posts in discussions is that blogs cannot be moved around later.  Discussions however can.  If a seller has multiple different fraud/fake items, they can then be moved and grouped together under one ebay seller name later, if found.   It also makes it easier to search for one seller if we can group that sellers items together.   We also have it set up that every blog gets approved by a moderator, and this will cut way back on that, as discussions don't need approval at all.

So for now, if you have a bad ebay seller/item, and you want to mention it, if you wouldn't mind, please post it in the discussions sections.... instead of the blog area.

Please and Thank you so very very much !!

I have to say that the idea of a Moderator that is not Steve, is not something that i trust, and i am pretty dissapointed. And that is no offense to the moderators that Steve has chosen. But every single site i have ever been on (regardless of type of site) that is run by appointed moderators turns into a cluster. I know Steve is probably extremely busy, and we havent heard much of him lately, but i was hoping that this site would never go that direction. It just never works, and their is always the questions as to why certain people were given privilege. I hope im wrong, but have strong reservations.

Seems like Wascher has been doing it a month now and you didn't even notice a change.

Welcome!!  out of interest, What are the other "lists", hobby, and websites that you mention?

Thanks Brandon!

My hobby & love, is the sport of purebred dogs & dog showing in conformation.  I run several Dog Club/Dog Club members websites, as well as own/moderate several private dog lists for my breed, and have been doing this for about 12 yrs.

Just saw this, I will start adding mine as "discussions" instead of blogs. Thanks.
