Adam Halloran replied to Jason Charnick's discussion How's this Ringo look... also looking to date it...
"In most cases I would say "don't cut!" however I think you have so much dead space anyways and your plan is to frame it...So in this case I don't think there is much history beyond the signature itself, so if a cut would work for…"

Adam Halloran replied to John D.'s discussion Is Roger Epperson still around?
"So you are doing the best thing, asking questions first before buying a major purchase that could likely be fake. That is the first step. What is nice about a place like Autograph Magazine Live is, it is full of like minded collectors that can give…"

Adam Halloran replied to John D.'s discussion Is Roger Epperson still around?
"If you search you will find negative feedback about every authenticator out there. (PSA, JSA, Beckett, etc...) As with all of them they have made mistakes, but I have seen Roger own up to his if he does...Which is more then other authenticators…"

Adam Halloran replied to Julie Tipling's discussion Value of signed Menu, The Imperial, Torquay, 18th August 1963
"The easiest way to explain a COA is a sense of comfort for most. In regards to a COA (for vintage Beatle's collectors primarily) a letter of authenticity from Frank Caiazzo, Tracks, and Perry Cox is like getting an expert in the field of…"

Adam Halloran replied to Julie Tipling's discussion Value of signed Menu, The Imperial, Torquay, 18th August 1963
"I think he means by how Tracks does their own Auctions and they may take it on consignment (like Perry) or they will outright buy an item from you but they don't pay as much as it is actually valued because they resell for profit."

The Muses In Music And Other Assorted Inspirations.

Posted on October 23, 2017 at 5:51pm 3 Comments

Where does inspiration come from? For many musicians a song can be a throw away or nonsensical or have no deep meaning at all.  Others, perhaps had come to them in a dream. The song "Yesterday" had been said to have came to Paul McCartney this way and "Across The Universe" made its way cosmically to John Lennon.

However, what I have always found more fascinating, is how love or even lust can drive someone to write the most beautiful songs and perhaps rocks greatest muse was both the…

All You Need Is Love-When Collecting The Beatles!

Posted on February 24, 2017 at 4:00pm 12 Comments

I never had the chance to see The Beatles perform in concert. I was born in 1983, sadly a few years too late to be a "first generation fan".... Okay well more than a few years too late.
Also with there never being a chance for a true reunion with John Lennon having already passed on before I was even born, who knows what could have been had all four been here today?
I grew up mostly with new wave music in my early youth as an 80's child my memories are also of George…

A truly positive experience receiving an autograph! (Share your best too)

Posted on January 22, 2016 at 4:42pm 23 Comments

I wanted to provide a flip to the discussion asking people for the worse in person experience. This doesn't necessarily have to be in person, as I just had a wonderful example of an artist being extra kind to one of their fans.

Not many people are aware of the group The Swell Season (however they have a cult type following), in fact they aren't even together anymore. They are Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, if you have heard of the movie Once then you have seen…
