Is this Gordie Howe autograph real?

Purchased in an estate sale in CT back in 2013. The seller is now deceased but he did tell me that he acquired it from the original owner of the glove who gained the signature in person at a junior league hockey game, where Gordie Howe and other former players were being honored.
