Hi guys,

What do you think about the attached vinyl sleeve?

Is it worth a punt do you think?

Thanks!

Ben

Compare it to the Fleetwood Mac offerings on the Rock Star Gallery website and see what you think.

Interesting - thanks for the link. Those last two letters in the Nicks are bothering me to the point that I'm going to pull the album until we can do a little more research. All of the other signatures on the FM albums look fine to me. What are your thoughts?

Mike,  that album in question, as a stand alone, would have passed most FM "experts".  but we had a thread a while back that exposed a bunch of these, all signed in the same place on the album, with that same "glitch" in Nicks.  So I also question the authenticity of that album.

I just saw the thread reference listed below and I see your point(s). The "Much Love" inscription is almost as questionable as the glitch we talked about but the rest of the signature in most of these examples is almost fool proof. Were it not for those I'd probably continue to defend it. And the other band members look arguably authentic. I remember seeing some of these from time to time over the past few years and have seen authenticated versions of them as well

I took some time and went back and reviewed about 15 years or so worth of Stevie's facsimile signatures on CD's, albums, DVD's, back stage passes, etc. - basically anything that she signed her name to that pertains directly to her brand and there is nothing that resembles the Nicks "glitch" discussed in this thread. Nice job by whoever took the time to do this. That obviously took some diligence............Do we know who is responsible for the forgeries?..............................Thanks terrier8hof & ballroomdays67.

Mike, thanks for taking the time to dig in deeper and confirm our original suspicions.  I do not believe we ever established who is responsible for the forgeries.  Wascher may have a better idea.  N. Steiger did a nice job putting these together so we could see the patterns, and Ballroom picked up the glitch in the Nicks signature.

I've looked into it further since then and what I thought was a glitch in the Nicks signature actually is correct. I believe these are the Fleetwood Mac equivalent to what has been referred to as Beatles "Southern California forgeries."

As with their Beatles signatures, I believe that it's a forgery style. Here's a link to the discussion concerning that forgery style:

If interested, email me directly: joshboard87@gmail.com

If memory serves, one is signed by Stevie, and Mick...and a few from the newer lineup (rick zito? etc)

I have a few signed JUST by Lindsey Buckingham.

Hi, a while back on autograph live I saw that you had some signed Fleetwood Mac albums for sale. I was wondering if you still did by any chance? Please let me know?
